August 2008: London is hosting the International Gay & Lesbian Football Association World Championship. Various Voices London are supporting and advising on ceremonies, cultural and social activities. A Various Voices Football Team has gone into training to participate in the recreational league of the championship. Games will be played in Regents Park from 24th to 30th August with the final at Leyton Orient FC, Matchroom Stadium in East London.
